Somewhat of an artistic chameleon, Asa Harris has done it all:  singing in big bands, acting in one-woman shows and appearing in television commercials.  She even had a cameo role opposite Robert Duvall in the 1996 film, “A Family Thing.”  The daughter of musician Ace Harris and the niece of famed trumpeter and bandleader Erskine Hawkins, Asa Harris’ passion for music was inescapable.  Currently in the process of earning her masters degree in pastoral ministry, Harris regularly performs with the St. Louis Symphony Pops and Gene Esposito’s Jazz Orchestra in Chicago, which performs the repertoire of Billy Strayhorn.
